you did right by putting oil in the topend before you started it. Now what went wrong........Either the oil pump is bad (take it apart and do a good inspection on it); OR there is something wrong with the path it takes to the top end....did you make sure the head guide and o-ring are on the right rear cylinder stud ( under the head)? make sure all the oil paths are clean ( blow them out with air)
when you check your oil pump, take the cyntrifical oil filter cover off and clean it out real good.
Hope that helps a touch.

I have a 1984 200M that also has a siezed cam. Seems someone was working on the motor and used too much silicone when reassembling, took it apart and found an oil gallery plugged... Now she's a parts bike.

I have one in perfect running order that I use, and two parts bikes.
I live near Barrie and work in Mississauga... What parts do you need?

Sounds like the rubber oiling plug near the cam bushing was stopped up by gasket sealant.

Also, do not mix used cam bushings with cams.
They need to be replaced as a matching set whether new or used the if you plan on keeping this machine for any length of time.
