Default 39pwk leaking?

I have a 39PWK on my race mod and I noticed that it has a small leak starting about 1/4 throttle, around the drain plug on the bottom of the bowl. Is there a way I can fix it like using a small O ring or a thin rubber gasket?
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance!

The drain plug has a oring around it. Or it's supposed to. If you don't have one then just get an oring and you'll be set.

It has an O ring but I was wondering if I could add another one just to help it seal better.

If it's old then it may be getting a little flat or starting to corrode. Put a new one in a see how it does if so. Other than that I've not had any problems with them leaking there. Others places on the 39...now that's another story.

I asked around when I was looking at getting one of these carbs and most people said that they just leak nothing you could do about it but others seemed to love them and never had a leaking problem so I think there might just be some bad ones out there or something.

That could be true 2000, I really like the carb, the leak doesn't bother me other than just the fact of knowing that it is there.
