Default coolant leak on lt 250 r

I just finished rebuilding my 85 lt250r, when i went to put coolant in it started leaking out from a small hole undernieth the water pump. it is a 1/4' hole with no threads in it.
It does not leak fast but it LEAKS and i have no idea what tha hole is for.
