Default wider rims equal less ground clearance?

Hey guys, I'm gonna order some new rims, the new ones will be 1" wider than my stock. I am going to keep my current tires. My question is will this decrease my ground clearance any, and if so by about how much?

thanks again
Kenny

no, it will not change your ground clearance.

While it won't change your ground clearance, it may alter how well you can negotiate certain obstacles. Sometimes you would have an easier time, others harder. Wider is going to be more stable, I say go for it!
