Default Rebuilds

I see alot of threads about having to rebuild engines, how long shoud it be (hours) before I expect to replace some
serious parts or rebuild my motor? How much would this cost? Just got me wondering if I should be expecting a pricey fix in the future.. I currently have approx 20-24 hours. Is the 350 in my bruin the same reliable 350 in other sport models? Most of these rebuild threads deal with sport quads, are utility quads less apt to have motor problems? Thanks for any answers

Here is my 2 cents west350bruin.
Pay REAL close attention to the air cleaner and your 4 stroke engine will last you a VERY long time; probably your lifetime.
People on here argue a lot about oil. I have seen people that don't change their oil for years and their engine run fine( I don't recomend this by the way!!). I have seen engines become junk in a matter of hours when their air cleaner has a breach in it.

Yes, the Utes are less likely to need a rebuild because they usually have less RPM. 2 strokes need rebuilding more than a 4 stroke because they make power on every stroke. Every time the piston goes up and down in the bore wear is occuring. The less it goes up and down in the bore the less wear an engine will have.

Keep an eye on the air cleaner and do your oil changes on time and go have fun; you won't need a rebuild for a long time; maybe never.

My warrior has well over 100 hours of hard riding (and neglect from the previous owner) and I just did the first rebuild. You don't have anything to worry about as long as you maintain it like doc said

When people talk about rebuilds their mostly talking about rebuilding their 2-strokes (Banshee's, Quadracer's, 250r's, etc...) the 2 stokes need to be rebuilt more often than the 4 stokes. Anyways just take care of your Bruin and it will take care of you.
