i pushed and held the buttom cleaned the switch and terminals cant figured out what wrong can anyone help????????????

well welcome is the friendly city and they have Dugans[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] compared to what in sherburn... Foxys... or the dale gardner meseum. and i live in the country and my address is welcome fyi.. anyways its a 2002 sportsman 400 4x4 and a 2005 atp 500 and the 4wd dont work when the switch is on and/or button is pushed.....i was going to do some serious mudding this weekend with all this "sip" we have after the rain would like to go through mud holes backwards.......way fun

I will bring down a couple of switches and get those babies up and muddin' before the rain stops!

Does the button over-ride your rev-limiter?
Make sure everything is plugged in securely... under both handlebar switches... and to the back of the speedometer...

 

that campground you know that little marsh on the left side of the road we ripped that to hell one year it was horrible we did it with a 400l and a artic cat 250 and man o man was that deep o and by the way my uncle lives on fox lake....the big brown house in the middle. and the switch overrides the revlimiter but the doesent engage...in foreward it does but not in reverse......oO do u have any cv shafts i could buy from you also a buddy of mine has a scrammy 400 and needs one.

The over-rides take about 15 minutes and will save you a bunch money on your car insurance....

I have a CV shaft from an 03 sp 600 right here.... probably won't work.....
I have a crazy friend that lives on that end of the lake....
An ugly friend named Brian.....
Probably heard of him....
This is a touchy little issue you have... and would love to diagnose it for you right here and now....
But it's got to be in the switch......

My guess... it's in the AWD switch....
Try and get some answers from a couple of sources I have up here and post something in the morning.....

well i spose the shaft is fin but the bearing inside went out so i think it needs a hub or what ever
