Clutch puller stuck in Clutch
#1
So...I decided to put the 800 primary on my 700. I bought it awhile ago but have not had time to install. So while I was waiting, I decided to purchase the tool for pulling these clutches off to make things easier once I had some time. So now, I have the clutch puller stuck in the clutch. It treaded in fine, got tight and ended up spinning the front part of the primary off the shaft and back plate. So now I am trying to get this damn puller out and it is stuck. I have tried an impact, 1/2 breaker bar with 3 feet of extra pipe. Any one out there have any ideas? I was thinking of using some heat to see if that would let it loose, but am worried about the seals and everything on the enginge.

i guess im trying to figue out what you mean by the front part of the clutch. when you take ur clutch bolt that screws into the crank you then thread the bolt style puller into the hole until bottoms out and i use my impack to tighten the puller there by poping the clutch off and then screw the puller back out.

When I put the puller in, I actual spun the cage ( the part that holds the spring and weights) off of the shaft that hooks to the motor. IT looks like mine has a one-way clutch on it and I can lock the clutch in but still spin the shaft and backing plate untreading it from the front part of the clutch...
