Default In-line fuel filter

I have read a few posts where people have highly suggested putting an in-line fuel filter. Could someone suggest any particular in-line fuel filters to use, where to get, part number etc?

I have a 2006 Eiger 400 4x4 automatic and a 2006 Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 automatic.

Thank you…

I have one on my Vinson. I got it from Rockymoutian. You can get them from any dealer also.

The two common barb sizes are 5/16 and 1/4. Youll need to figure out which works best...usually the 1/4 works on most quads.
You can get them all over, even wal mart and auto zone carry filters which have the 1/4 barb on each end, just make sure the physical size of the filter fits your space under the tank. I like the ones that have a 90 degree turn on one end, which seems to make the bends easier on the hose.

Go with a clear one so you can tell if you ever have water contamination.

Fram model "G2" works great on our Eigers. It's clear too.

they make these things with lead in them, which are like 50 bucks and then they treat your gas. i guess they work pretty good but you could put in any fuel filter and it should work. All it does is make the fuel cleaner by taking out obstructions

Thank you, so I take it the fuel line ID is 5/16"? Would that be the same for the 2006 Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 automatic?

Thank you...

1/4 or 5/16, can't remember off hand.... I just cut the OE fuel line and put it in nice and easy.
