Hey everyone, looking at maybe buying one of the performance exhaust inserts I see on Ebay, that replaces stock exhaust endcap. My reasons for this are I want reasonable power gains, but my Dad is not a fan at all of aftermarket exhaust systems becase he thinks ALL of them are extremely loud and I ride in a sound-sensitive area. This claims to have similar effects to a aftermarket system. Basically I think this looks very similar to the HRC kit for 450r's without the cam or header in the 06's. I would rejet and run no lid. Anyone have any idea how loud these are and/or what kind of gains I will recieve? Thanks

you can buy a nice aftermarket exhaust with the quiet cores or tips
and i've havent heard to much on replacing just the stock end cap

 

well its inexpensive, and very similar to the HRC kit's on the 450R. The HRC Kit on 04 and 05's is a cam, jets, and exhaust insert. Not positive yet, but I think I may give this a try, jets and this will total around 60 dollars, and if I get close to aftermarket gains, I'll be very happy. What it mainly does is majorly increases amount of flow out the exhaust, takes stock 7/8" outlet and turns into a 1-3/4" outlet.

The one I saw on ebay ended, and waiting for another to be put back on. It was 44 cash with shipping for the insert, then rejet. Really would like to buy the TRC Pro Series for 550 I found it in full titanium because it's such a low price. I'm not finalized yet so I will let you guys know what I do.
