I friend told me I could take the factory reeds and cut the curved metal part that keeps the reeds from opening up all the way and just make a "Bar" with the 2 screw holes to hold the end of the reed only.....Basically removing the curved matal part. The only thing Ive done to the bike so far is advance the timing with plans for pipes and other exhaust and intake mods(Spacers, K+N, boost bottle)... No internal engine work is planned yeat. Will I need to rejet if I do this? Should I just go ahead and get V force reeds? ANy Info would be appreciated! Thanks!

 

wouldnt mess about like that the reeds might snap buy a propper race reed block but dont think you will see a lot of difference until you get pipes and filter
