Recieved our Komoto 250 today
#1
Well I finally made up my mind and bought a Komoto 250. It was delivered to my house this morning and looks to be a little bit better quality than most of the chinese bikes. First off is the finish, the body is made out of a ABS type plastic that has a nice gelcoat finish. I had to tighten down the handle bars, connect the battery, inflate the tires and put on the bumper. The only problem so far is one of the rear tires wouldnt seal on the rim when I tried to put air in it. Took the tire to my local tire store but they were closed for the night. Im sure they will get it on when I take it back. Put some gas in it and after a couple cranks it turned over. I let it idle for about 10 mins and it needed a little adjustment but nothing too bad. I still need to change out the oil and go over everything with loctite but overall I am very happy with it and it doesnt look like a cheap piece of plastic like so many of them do. Here are a couple pictures.

Well it looks as though I have a bad tire. After taking the tire to two different tire shops and both not being able to get it to hold air it looks like when the tire was mounted on the rim it damaged the seal on the inside lip of the tire. Therefor it will not seal to the rim when its inflated. Looks like I already have to buy a new rear tire until they send a new one out to me. Was really hoping to get to try out the new toy tomorrow but looks like I will be tire shopping instead.

How is the Komoto 250? Have you beat it up yet? SEADAWG like that picture...looks like good quality. I would want head lights, but can work around it

Runs great, it seems to be pretty good quality overall so far. It came with a headlight I just didnt have it mounted in the pictures. I had a small electrical issue with it but it was a bad battery and might of got damaged during shipping. I would recommend one for anybody in the market for a knock off quad.

CrewCAb,
Had any problems with the choke or carb? Please keep us posted after you beat it up. It truly looks like a well built machine....but it has to be tested! I don't mean killed, just tested. How does it compare to your Jap quauds?

Its a adult sized ATV the front and rear wheelbase width is 42". No problems with the carb or choke so far other than having to adjust the idle. I dont have any jap quads just my two Kawsaki dirtbikes.
