Default Porting and polishing

I have most tools needed for most jobs and can complete them well. Later on this month I am going to break back into the carb and go to work. So I want to port the Y coming off the carb like Ive heard done before. Pictures, tools need, and general info would be great.

Also does a dynojet add better throttle response and more power? Should I clip the spring at all to gain any throttle response on stock or dynojet spring?

Are you talking about just boring the opening's of the carb(s) out a little? If so I think with most you can get like 2 more mm of size out of them..Like if you had a 26mm you could safely take it to a 28mm carb..If your talking about porting the intake check out macdizzys..You can buy porting templates there..

Aparently, there is a Y that comes off the carb going to the motor that is much smaller than the carb its self. I have been thinking about boring the carb but I doubt that will do much for my 4 stroke 421. Can yall give me links, pics, and information about carb boring porting and polishing and the Y thing. Also do any of yall clip your carb springs at all? I heard once it gives better throttle response.

Yes it is the kodiak. I want to do some of this easy and free stuff to free up a little more power. IT will greatly help my exaust and new air intake.
