Default BF 650 Coolant leaking

Hey fellow Kawi riders.
I have 12 hours on my machine and it looks as though the coolant is leaking from a rubber breather element. Its got one of those crappy Plier type hose clamps around it. I'm hoping replacing with a screw type clamp will take care of it. Has anyone else had issues with these types of clamps on their machines.

I noticed my BF650 was leaking some too. I haven't gotten down there to see where it is coming from yet. Repot back if that fixes the problem for you.

If that's not the real source of the coolant leak, check the thermostat hose fittings near the 12 Volt Power Outlet (uppper left front fender area).

i agree, my brand new brute leaked around the hose clamps near the thermostat housing. there is about 3 or 4 fittings in there, three of mine leaked, drove me nuts. so, finally i took her out and soon as it started leaking, pulled it in garage and took off the front fender and there it was. all those clamps were about two turns loose. ive read more than one post about them leaking there.

Looks more like 24 hours to me, maybe you should have the dealer throw in a watch too.

Some of us don't have time to sit and watch for responses all day at work.
