What's the best Jet kit for 06 yfz450?
#1
I am wondering what's the best jet kit out there for my yfz 450. I see that Moose, Dynojet, and GYTR makes jet kits. What would be the best configuration with a K&N air filter and is it worth putting an aluminum air box with the K&N air filter?

I bought a dynojet kit for my YFZ and couldnt get it dialed in. Ended up buying a James Dean jet kit and had it going in no time.
The problem i had with the Dyno jet is the jet numbers are totally different than the Keihin jets that are used in the stock carbs. So i had no idea where i was compared to stock. If you arent hihly experienced with tuning carbs i wouldnt get the Dyno kit to start off.
I would get the GYTR instead of Dynojet. JMO.

I got GYTR jets in my 04. I also have the HMF full system candy red pipe. Love the color was going to get the GYTR pipe ordered it.. Waited 2 weeks called Yamaha... back order for another month or so. Went ahead and just brought the HMF. They stand behind the 1 year warrantys also. Got me a new pipe out of it. Above the can it have to brackets to bolt up the top of one broke off. Sent it in and within a week and a nice preety new one. Hope it helps!

Nmotion seems to be the popular pipe right now. I have a full Alba system and have been happy with it. The Alba is loud so consider buying the quiet core. The CT racing pipes are also very good but can be pricey.
