which one would be best out of a troy lee predator a yfz450 or a raptor, i am about 6 foot tall 240lbs. i dont race but and looking for GOOD performance. i like the predator for handling and premium accesories that are already on it, the yfz450 for overall performance and weight. and the raptor for reverse and descent performance. im kind of leaning towards the yfz450 but i wanna know what you guys think? like i said i dont race(at least not yet) i do mostly trail riding and quite a few jumps. but mainly sumthing to impress my friends i guess is a part of it too.

 

I'd go: Predator, Raptor, YFZ in that order.....

Being 240lbs have you looked at the Kawi V-Force 700?

 

the yfz will be too small for you.

if you trail ride get the raptor

 

you should consider a DS 650,a predator or something bigger with auto tranny.

 

that was a miss print im only like 220lbs. and was thinkin the yfz450 cuz it can be easily modded to have all kinds of power plus it is light enough u can pick it up and move it around if u get in a jam, but i also like the predator cuz it turns tight enough you shouldnt notice not have reverse too much plus it has lots of power but still heavy and handles great, the raptor has good power but when u get into it, its like and almost uncontrolled wheelie(i have not rode ne of the three but at least one of my friends have all of them cept the yfz and i guess i want to be different to but i still want to here what u think) thanks again

 

I'd still have to say that the yfz would be too small for you.....go sit on one at a dealer, even I (5'11/200lbs) feel big on the yfz---the seat is pretty flat with the tank----made for racing. There's plenty of mods for the predator....and it's been out for a year or so so it's had some of it's bugs worked out whereas the yfz is still too new for reliability test.....

I don't think you could go wrong with either the rappy or preddy or ds650 or v-force.....the yfz isn't the trail machine that any of those are.

I've sat on a YFZ and that thing is pretty small guys. Your weight will make a big toll on what kinda quad you should get as well. I weigh 255 pounds and I ride a Pred. Pred has been my favored still.

 

The yfz is not that small. The narrow plastics make it look small but the chasis is close to a predator. There is not much plastic on the yfz.

 

I Have the YFZ 450 and i love it.It is wider then my trail blazer,handles well and i trail ride not race.
i have rode a raptor and didnt like it,it just didnt feel right for me as for the predator i have not rode one but
i talked to a pred oner and he was quite happy with it.Just my .02 worth
