Jet Moto may be the best built chinese quad on the market. They started out with bad business but turned around and are making alot of people happy. If you do buy I would highly recommend Raceway.

Seriously consider a brand name. I have been reading a lot of bad things about the quality and dependability of the off brands. You may have to spend a few hundred more dollars, but it will be worth it in the long run. Just remember the old saying: "you get what you pay for."

I am not trying to knock anyone - you asked for comments so I am giving you my honest opinion.

If it was just a few hundred $ difference it would be a no brainer decision for everyone to buy a brand name. I have always had brand names but the difference in price is more like a few thousand $, which makes the decision a hard one.

With 3 of my kids at riding age plus the wife wanting a Quad now that makes a minimum of 2 more quads to buy, which makes the Jetmoto route warrent more investigating. That thread bothered me too. It was started in September of 2005 and even Raceway has admitted to having a rocky start but they appear to be putting a better effort into their sales practice.

So your right, is the money savings greater than the risk??? Still undecided on that one.

Welcome to the forum hrlyjr Would you mind answering a few questions? How big are you and what is your riding skill level? What do you plan on doing with the 200? Have you ever owned a quad before and if yes which one?

Hello again,

Just remember, all of the name brand dealers have several different quads in different price ranges. Shop around. If you are looking into purchasing multiple quads, a dealer will cut you an even better deal. You have to "wheel and deal." Call around and then let one dealer know what the other dealer has quoted. I always play them against each other (it works!) You also might consider "slightly used."

As far as the off brands, they may have somewhat of a warranty, but think about how much money you may be spending (after the warranty has expired) because the quality isn't as good. Jetmoto may be getting better at covering warrantied parts, but how dependable are the machines (and how often do they break down) after the warranty has expired? If they are breaking down a lot during the warranty period, how will they be afterwards?

I understand that you are probably on a budget (aren't we all) but it's not fun to have a quad that constantly breaks down. A lot of dealers offer the "buddy package" where you can finiance 2 quads (with gear and a trailer) for $69/month. The $69 payment usually only lasts for 2yrs. (then it goes back to the normal payment) but it gives you 2 years to try to pay it in full.

Just a few options for you.

Good luck in your decision!
