Default 2006 LTZ50 NEED HELP! IT'S TOO SLOW

Does anyone know how to make this faster? I already looked for a restrictor in the exhaust and there isn't any?? What else is there? I also took out the thumb throttle stop. It seems like there is a govenor somewhere, I know this quad goes faster! HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default 2006 LTZ50 NEED HELP! IT'S TOO SLOW

Well IVE BEEN LOOKING for all types of mods and i have concluded there are none in sight yet. What I do have to offer though is that there is only ONE restrictor and its on the tranny. Its the one in the manual. There are no restrictors on the intake or exhaust side. You cant mill head either due to its already clearance for the valves. What I did find when i took off the head is a ton of carbon deposit..so much that it kept the intake from closing all the way...this is a 2006 LTZ 50 the new 4 stroke so this does not apply to the old LT 50's as they are 2 stroke. So I cleaned the carbon out of the head, valvels and intake and exhaust. put it all back together and wow what a difference...but it wasnt enough. So I took off the exhaust pipe...this made a another big difference in power but i didnt want to have no pipe on it due to dirt getting in, so i put pipe back on and took out the spark arrestor and drilled 4 .500 inch holes in the baffle on the inside of the muffler. not only does it sound good but it also gained power from this. Took breather off and tried to run it this way but it died every time due to lack in gas not matching the new air coming in. Didnt have time to mess with it, but I will experiment with different jet diameters to gain most hp and will post ata later time. I would highly suggest taking head off and cleaning along with the exhaust mod...this made a ton of difference.

What does the limiter in the tranny look like? I just got the girls a z50 and z90 and would like to take it out, but was not for sure where exactly it was or what it looked like. Do both of these quads have these limiters?

There are some mods, a total waste in my mind.
Nothing will get the desired power.
Look into a DRR/DRX.
A much better machine and will satisfy your power needs out of the box.

This quad sucks. We have had ours for 9 months and it only has 3 hrs on it. The tranny mod mentioned earlier is in the clutch. Dealers want $125 to remove it but won't say how much faster it will go. It's supposed to be complicated to do if you never did one before. Mine is up for sell, I'll probably use it for a trade in and only get $700-$800 . Anyone want to trade?

I just got my son a new 50. It was slow to the point it wouldn't go up a steep hill. I had the dealer take out the spacer in the trans and it easily goes twice as fast , it will take me up the same hill no problem. They only charged me 39.00 bucks. It was worth it now my son loves the quad.
