I have my quad for sale right now because i need to get a truck.I am also going to buy a cheap used quad.I will probably get a 400ex or bahshee because of the price.I am leaning toward the ex because i have heard how dependable they are and how undependable the banshees can be.Is there any problems with the 400ex that i need to be aware of and check before i buy?Remember this is going to be used and prolly between 2000-2003 years.Thanks for the help.Jeff

At five years old, the bearings and bushings, could be worn. Check for slop in the A-arm bushings and the axle carrier. Look under neath the engine and see how mashed the frame is. Most importantly ride it for a little ways, before you buy it. If it rattles or squeeks, find out why.

The 400's are really good quads, that don't seem to have problem areas.

 

My EX is an 00. Only thing major I have had to do to it is new rear bearings, and after 6 years it was overdue anyway.
