has any one had trouble with there started on ther 450 or 400

 

no i have had my ex since 99 no troubles

 

yes i only experience difficulty starting on both after i put in a hrc cam

 

I have a vintage EX, and absolutely no problems. My buddy has the 06 electric 450R, and there is a trick to starting it. You have to know the drill, or you can have problems. It seems to be like my 04 kick starter, in that you can't give it any throtle at all on hot start.

 

The E start 450's are shearing a key way, when starting them. It has to do with the ring gear, I heard. If the starter is spinning, but the quad doesn't turn over, that is the problem.

 

nope no problem easy startin the winter to didnt have a problem even wit the HRC kit no probs after i had put the stuff on mine it was a lil hard to start and i put a bigger jet in it and it start real easy now
