hello,

My name is John. I have my front end of my grizzly apart right now I am planning on snorkling it my self . rebuilding the carb. and some other odds and ends while I have it apart. If anyone can give me Ideas on what to do while I have it apart I would appreciate it . I really need help with the snorkling part but I want to do everything possible so i wont have to tear it down for another six years.

I would suggest adding a locker to the front end if you have it all torn apart anyway. You can either lock it up completely, or put a Detroit locker in it. The Detroit will cost more, but steering will be easier. A full locker will be cheaper, but steering effort will increase a lot! Having both front wheels working for you is an absolute must!

You must plan on going through some really deep water. I've had mine up to the point where it started floating once in a river crossing. To make a long story short, when I fianlly got back to shore the tranny was dry and ready to go! I run 10lbs of air in my tires, so I figure thats why I floated. I have 27" 589's.
