Need help with flywheel

Default Need help with flywheel

I have the proper puller. I also applied heat. It still wont budge. Ended up stripping the threds on puller.
Any tips will help. Thank you in advance.

wow! thats not a good situation, I usually put a propane tourch on it for a few minutes and get it good and hot before I try to break it loose, I don't know what to tell you if you have stripped the threads on the fly wheel and puller- sorry dude!
That is a fine pitch thread I don't know if you could order a die and chase the threads or not.
You could also tig weld the the puller onto the fly wheel and than cut it off to reinstall- just hope you never have to take the motor apart again.
What work are you doing to the motor?

MIne i heated it up put the puller on pulled as hard as I thought i could go..Then using a brass hammer lighty tapper the end of the puller..it poped right off..

The ticket is all in that little tap with a hammer. use half the pull and add a tap and you're in business

To big of a hit and the puller bolt will bend.. So carefull though

yeah, hense use of the word tap.....with a small ballpin hammer, not a 10 pound sledge or anything. just use common sense and it will be fine.
