Problems with my 97 400 Sport

I need some help !!! My 400 Sport i think has a clutch issue. When i rev up and start to go the belt slips and pops first thought it was a tranny issue but i took off the side cover and the belt slaps the cover then the belt slips.
Any suggestions on what might be the problem?

Make sure the clutch's are lined up properly, Also your belt could be stretched. Go to Napa and get you a new belt and try that.

Problems with my 97 400 Sport

Try a new belt before anything.While you have th ebelt off check the front clutch for wear and loose parts.Also take the rear clutch apart and check the spring and ramp buttons.
