has anyone figued how to disconnect or bypass the limiter yet on these. useless when this thing gets stuck in reverse. any help would be great.

 

I had the same problem with my 450 in a huge mudhole....guess they had to idiot proof it somehow and those of us who do not fall in that catagory are stuck in the mud with a sputtering quad.

Ok here is the scoop. The over ride button on your bike is not for the reverse, it is for the diff lock. When the diff lock is engaged you push the button to temp unlock the diff. I have found a trick to backing out of sticky situations though. I have found that if it starts sputtering let off and then quickly get back into it like alot and usually as long as you tires aren't caked in gumbo you should get the power you need to back out. I have used in on some pretty steep inclines to while decending I thought I would like to try to go up that in reverse. And just as usual the rev limiter kicks in but I just let off real quick and then get back into and she takes off like a rocket.

 

Pressing the override wont unlock the diff. It just 'over rides' the rev limiter, but only in diff lock, not for reverse. If you want to override the rev lmiter in reverse, do the fix at grizzhoppers site, and it will also overide the limiter in all situatons.
