Default Dealer unaware of Renegade!!

Stopped at the shop I got my last two quads from, guy I bought from has left so I asked another guy about the Renegade ROFL, he asked...."is that a dirbike or streetbike" I told him it was a new quad from BRP-Can-Am, he just looked at me with this complete blank stare. I said "yeah, they are going with the Can-Am name and just announced their 07 lineup including an Outlander 500 and the Renegade........he was clueless. He told me good luck getting one they still haven't gotten the first of the Outlander 650's and can't even get standard Outlander 800's, all they had were the two up's.

They do pretty good business and were loaded up on Raptors, YFZ's, Brute Forces, Bruins, Kodiaks etc. but only had one Outlander 400 and about a half dozen 800 two up's along with a few DS250's and a couple 650's. They Announced the Outlander 650 back in Oct/Nov, thats going on 7 months and these guy's haven't seen a single one arrive yet. I think we're looking at the first of the year for the Renegade at the earliest.

Those guys are so far gone have the time, Thier like car sales men all they want is there commission. That's how they are around here. I had to order my quad from michigan cause I got the run around. they never heard of a DS650.

Most of these guys are just salesmen and not ATV enthusiests like we are... they do not keep up or care about new products, they are employed to sell whats on the floor and nothing more. If a dealer has to order a bike they make less money than if they just sell what they have on the floor. Sucks but thats the way of the world. I know there are some dealers who really care about their customers, but there are more who just want to move bikes. Its the same with car salemen... when I bought my truck I went in to the dealer to ask a few questions and quickly realized that I knew considerably more than the sales guy about the features of the current model and the following year model. Idiots! They could sell more if they knew the features and models of the products they sell.... yea and don't expect to see the Renegade until November or December... thats what the BRP site said. I bet the sales guy knows all about it when it hits their floor, and starts selling well.

Yeah, pretty much but these guy's have been in business a long time and the guy I normally deal with isn't there anymore so I wasn't totally shocked but surprised they hadn't even heard about any of the Can-Am name .
