help 01 trail boss 330 won't start
#1
So Im riding my bike one day and its running perfectly. The next day I go to start it. It starts on first turn over, idols, but won't do anything more than that. When I press the throttle, it just bogs and dies. THEN after it died it wouldn't even try to fire off anymore using the electric start or the pull. Heres what I know so far,
1. Plenty of spark, "I pulled the wire and made a bridge between the wire and plug". Also has new plug.
2. half tank of gas
3. I pulled the lines on the fuel pump to be sure it was pumping when the motor cranked. All is fine there too.
Gas will also move on the "out flow" side of the fuel filter. So I know thats not pluged.
4. The diaphragm on the carb. is sealed to, in other words theres no crackes in the rubber seal.
I have no idea what to check next. Somebody has to know something. My thanks to all in advance

is the plug wet, is the air filter plugged?time to pull off the carb and clean it. its the next step if your sure your getting fire. was the plug a tan color when you changed it ? does it have good compression. just some more idears of what to check next.

If it ran fine before, and now it idles, but that's it, sounds to me like you're going to be taking off the carb. Check the needle, maybe the clip has broken.
Also may want to be sure on what you have. The 2001 was a 325. They do have different carbs.

Well at least the mixture was good. While you're at it, you may want to check the valve clearence too.

And they only want to charge 3 bucks a gallon.
