Default Warrior rear shock

What's the best way to tell if the rear shock on my Warrior is bad.....that is, without jumping the quad to see if it bottoms out??

I'm 210 lbs and the adjusting nut is about half way down. It feels soft to me but I'm just not used to what a "newer" one should feel like. Should I take the spanner nut down even more to stiffen it up some?
Thanks,
Ronbo

pick up the back end a few inches off the ground, and let it drop. If it just compresses, and goes right back to the normal height it's good. If you drop it and it acts like it's on a pogo stick it's blown.

You probably just need to increase the preload if you haven't already. They come pretty soft from the factory.
