Default Weight Comparison of 4 sets of tires/rims

This weekend, I installed my set of 22" tires on my TP700 before I went riding on Saturday (practice for upcoming XC race). While I had the wheels off, I decided to weigh all 4 sets of Prairie wheels to see the differences. Well, I knew the set of 25" bighorns/ITP C-series (old style) would be heavy compared to my other sets of tires/rims, but I didn't realize how much heavier they are!
Here's how they stacked up...

25" Stock Tires/Rims
FT = 17.8 ea.
RR = 23.4 ea.
Total Weight for all 4 Rims/Tires = 82.4 lbs

25" Bearclaws / ITP C-series (old style)
FT = 27.2 ea.
RR = 32.0 ea.
Total Weight for all 4 Rims/Tires = 118.4 lbs

25" Bighorns / ITP C-series (old style)
FT = 31.8 ea.
RR = 37.8 ea.
Total Weight for all 4 Rims/Tires = 139.2 lbs

22" Gators/ V-force stock rear rims & Douglas 11" ft rims
FT = 21.6 ea.
RR = 29.8 ea.
Total Weight for all 4 Rims/Tires = 102.8 lbs

Bottom line is that the set of 25" Bighorn tires are almost 21 lbs heavier than the set of 25" bearclaw tires (both have same rims, so they can be ignored for this weight comparison).

Also, I found it surprising that my set of 25" bighorns/rims weighs almost 57 lbs MORE than my set of 25" stock tires/rims and they also weigh about 36 lbs MORE than my set of 22" gators/rims.

Happy trails...
