Just got back from pickin up the 00 DS650, this flies! Totally different bike than my warrior!
The one thing I noticed right off is that I'm bouncing off the rev limiter all the time, what do you guys recommend for an aftermarket unit with a higher cut out? It also seems hard to wheelie with, are there any tricks to setting it up to wheelie a little easier?
Thanks all.

Shift quicker to not hit the limiter. A carb and a 15 tooth front sprocket will get the front end in the air for ya. Congrats on the purchase.

Congratulations on your DS.I use a Big Gun CDI on my DS and it works well for me.I just recently switched the front sprocket from a 16 tooth to a 15 tooth and if you did the same the front end will feel lighter for you.

As everyone had said to me Vortex. We bought a cheaper one and it cost us 2 Battery's and a rectifier and I here it could have been worse. The rev box will also help with the wheelying (sp) quicker rev so easier to pick it up. Good luck. I love mine.

Deff do the 15 tooth or smaller front sprocket. That really helps.

I hit wheelies no problem 100% stock, heck, when my buddy and I drag race I have a hard time keeping it down in second gear. Gotta learn to shift quickly, I used to get stuck between second and third when shifting fast cause I was hitting the limiter before I tried to shift.
