Tire Pressure
#1
I have stock tires on my Rancher 4x4. (Originals were pretty worn, but I just bought new take-offs [dirt-hooks] from an '05 Rancher....all 4 for $60!)
Anyway, the tire place put 10 PSI in them. They seem to get good traction with this pressure, but I notice that the tag on the rear fender says 3.6 PSI.
Do I really want that small amount of pressure???? Man that seems low.
What do you all run for pressure??? I split my riding between trail rides and very slow crawling through the woods.
Thanks, Kev

I think that is way too high, you would be vulnerable to punctures. I have blackwaters which are bigger than stock and run 4 in the back and 3.5 in the front.
go with what the factory says.

SOME tire places leave them at high pressure......not mine- we check with the owner if the machine is not there to find out what they are going on and let the pressure down to stock. Belive it or not not ALL tire guys are dumbasses

The place that changed my tires actually had to inflate the tires up to 50-PSI in order to get nthe beads to seat. (Even though it says on the tire not to go that high)
They then reduced the pressure to 10 PSI. This is what they recommended.
I will reduce the pressure to 3.6 PSI.
