Default What is this hose??????

Last night I had the fuel tank off the 450r, and while checking everything out, I noticed a hose that had come loose. It comes off the T shaped crankcase breather, and goes into (i think) the top of the carb on the right side. From the looks of it, it has been disconnected for some time, and I'm wondering what kind of damage could have been done had it not been reconnected. I know it had to have been disconnected during my last race, and now that its back on there the little dead spot in acceleration just off idle is gone. Anybody who knows what this is for, please let me know. If theres a chance of debris being in my carb, I would like to get it cleaned out before the next race. THANKS

yes, there's a good chance you got some debris in your carb, might want to clean it just to be sure. If you werent pinging or anything, i wouldnt worry about being and damage, other than a little dirt that got in.

The hose you are referring to, goes to a nipple just under your gas tank a little above where the choke is. There shoud be a metal clip on that hose that helps secure it to the nipple. I'm not sure what the hose is actually connecting too, but it doesn't connect to the carb. There shouldn't be any hoses coming from your motor and connecting to your carb!!! There is another crank hose breather that should go straight up near your air box that isn't connected to anything though. And I must add..... I just love saying the word 'nipple'.
