300ex sprocket combinations

Default 300ex sprocket combinations

does anyone know whicjh sprocket combinations will make the ex the fastest?

14/36 will make it scoot, but you better bring power.

thanks for the info. gear ratios have always amazed me also confused me .and do you also know what the 300ex comes with stock. how many teeth? thanks

13/38 is the stock ratio.

is there alot of difference in the 13/38 and the 14/36?

A tooth in the front is is about 3 in the back. With a stock engine, you might beable to get away with a one tooth change in the rear.

so i guess it wouldnt even be worth messing with since im running a stock engine right now . would it?

Your best bet would be to start with an air filter and exhaust. Those things are stuffed up, and need to breathe.

go with a 12 up front and leave rear stock it will give you alot more out the hole that is what i am running it will lower the top speed of the bike but who cares how often do you run wide open

I have a 95' 300 and i am running 13/33 gears but if your atv is stock I would not run that gearing all I have is a full exhaust system KN filter and it is jetted.
I ran 13/34 before I got the 33 and I liked it more. I could climb hills with the 13/34 gearing in 2nd most of the time but now I have to climd in 1st on long hills. I am about 10 ft behind a big bored 250x when we are both full throttle.
