Banshee aftermarket flywheel key?
#1
Vitos makes an aftermarket flywheel key at a pretty good price. They say it makes about 2 hp all through the powerband. My question is does that key make my banshee less reliable? Such as harder to start?

I cant answer your question, sorry. But i would add that the degree keys are prone to breaking. I would suggest getting an adjustable timing plate instead of a degree key. Their not too expensive anymore and are adjustable as oposed to just a solid timing change.
Just my $.02 from experience.

If you go with the Vitos key make sure to use loc tite in the nut holding the flywheel on or it may eventually back off and let the flywheel rattle against the case and it sounds like the motor just came apart. Trust me.

I was told those keys, will shear off, also. My engine guy alterd the flywheel,to advance the timing. I think he just grinds the slot for the keyway wider. It could be cheaper, than a timing plate, if someone knows what they are doing.
