Default switching from 2x4 to 4x4 on the 650i while moving

I recently bought my first quad. I bought an 06 650i, and I love it. I think I made a huge mistake, I did not read the manual before riding this beast. I did not know that uou have to stop before switching from 2x4 to 4x4. I was accelerating then switch into 4x4 like the quad was a semi-auto. I have 6 hoyurs and 20 miles on the machine. I hope I did not damage anything. Please help me.

OH MAN, you probally blew your front diff. HAHA just kidding, your fine so just relax. The manual says that so nobody sues if it loses control or somthing stupid. Most peopel on the forum shift between 2 and 4 when under 10 mph. Do that and you will be fine. Make sure when you are shifting though that you are not spinning your tires in the rear faster then the fronts, thats bad but your fine any other time.

P.s, as long as you use low gear as much as possible when pulling, mudding, climbing, etc you should have a great reliable atv with no belt probs. good luck and use low.

Holy crap, more questions about switching 4wd/2wd. What is going on?

By the way how did you only go 20 miles in 6 hours? Leave your key on over night?

You're only averaging 3 MPH with your machine.

Arent you tired of the 4x4 questions madlt? By the way, i put in a pair of iridium ix plugs today, and now im waiting for the power cables! If your like me, you will add every little mod you can. I wont try NOS though, and am not a fan of huge, belt burning tires! I just want to add every little thing i can. Next, after power cables, is brush guard bumper, and hand guards.

Yes I did! And Yes i am very happy with it! The front end is super light with this module! The iridium plugs seemed to smooth out the idle, and supposed to help accelleration, but i heard the real difference comes with the power cable. Did they help you ?

If you like the Moose you would really get a kick out of the VDI Copperhead. Imagine all that power you just got in your low end, only all the way through acceleration.

My BF750 has smoother acceleration and more torque with the power cables. I'm sure with the installation of the Iridium plugs and power cables you will also notice smoother acceleration from a stronger spark.
