I was wondering if anyone else has raced one and what the results were? My buddy just bought a 700 efi with no winch or brush guard, mine has both and i out weigh him by a hundred pounds. Maybe beat him by 2 to 2 1/2 quad lengths. Does that sound right cause i raced a 03 700 and think i beat it by 6-7 quad lenghts just seein if anybody elese had the same results. keep on wheelin

its not really that big of a power difference 700 to 760 IMO with the amount of added weight

theres only like 5 pound difference stock.

in 2006 the 700's got the same clutch that the 800's have had since their launch, so the 06 700's are faster than previous models

yeah it seemed to be faster than the other 700 off the line but my 800 has the same clutch as the 06's cause i was having problems when i first got it. they were almost even off the line i pulled to about a 1/2 a quad length then i started pulling ahead. when we switched riders that made a big difference just with the 100 lbs difference between me and him.

weight is always a big factor on anything you race. like they said theres not a whole of ccs. diff. between the 700 and 800 (760) so there wouldnt be a huge diff.

like i said 77 ccs isnt that much diff. if its a carb. 700 there is a real big diff. as one of my buds has one and its night in day. but if you put a 250 guy vs. a 150 guy on it it shows the diff. in the performance, not alot but enough in racing. just my 2 cents worth.

Your belt is also not new any more. That can be a measurable disadvantage.

there is also a different head between the 700 and 800, the 800 is more high performance, with larger exhuast valves
