Default 400 Sport sputtering and loosing power?!?!!?

Ok here's the deal..... Wide open throttle is awesome! Mid range is great. When i hold onto 1/4 throttle from a stand still its fine untill i get moving, to the point where the speed matches the throttle evenly, it sputters and looses much power, often it slows down substantially. When i give it more gas it comes out of it. Do you guys think this could be a timing issue? Maybe not enough fuel, or too much. My plug looks fine. I thought also it could be that i am not getting a good low rpm spark, if that could be possible. I am running an NGK R. Im not sure on the gap, im going to check that after school today.

Your plug should be a NGK BR8ES gapped at .028
First check the pilot jet to see if it is stopped up if not check the buttons in your secondary clutch.

I cleaned the carb tonight, the pilot was free of junk, it also would not idle but i un hooked the electronic throttle control and that fixed the idle problem but it still sputters at 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. I forgot to mention that sometimes when i hold it at that point it will bog down and shut off but again if i let off or give it more it comes back to life....maybe i didnt spray the pilot jet and channels well enough..?

You need to be able to see all the way through the pilot jet and all the holes.

if the sputtering only appear when the engine is warmed up it mean it is too lean into that area, wich seem to
be the pilot jet or the needle.raise the needle 1 clip and try it out then...
