Bad day of trying to go riding - a-arm help
#1
Yesterday was my sons last half day of school. So after the honor day stuff, I thouhgt it would be fun to go to our local riding place. I should have known better when we got over an inch of rain Wensday night that this was not to be. We got loaded up and headed out on the 7 mile journey. We got to the place all excited and unloaded the quads and took off down the main tral to the mx track. I always make the boys take a slow lap to make sure the track doesn't have any surprises and low and behold the Blaster made it over the first jump and died. Fouled the plug and pissed me off royaling!! After trying to clean it with no sucess, we loaded up and headed home. On the way home we went by our local country cycle shop and bought a new plug, new rear sprocket and a few other goodies. Got home, put the plug in and it fired up the first kick. We decided to put the sprocket on and try it while we were working on it. (went from the stock 40 to a 42. We don't care how fast it is, Looking for some more qiuckness though) Well anyways, I got it all together and told him to take it easy for the first few laps around our track, and he did. (thank God!!) On the second lap, the top a-arm on the right side, broke the ball joint out. I took it off and with the help from my father, got it welded back together. Is this a problem with these a-arms? Will a Warrior a-arm interchange with the Blaster? Ours is a 2003, which appears to have different ball joints than the older ones. Looking around far a replacement has led me to alot of Warrior and older Blaster a-arms but nothing for the newer ones. I would love to get +2 +1's but don't have that kind of cash to let go of right now.
Anyone have any ideas on finding a good replacement?
