So here are my choices 1993 honda 300ex or a 1983 yamaha yz490. They are about the same price and about the same condition and both are stock except their mufflers. i ride in wisconsin and will be driven all season long. So what do u guys think i should get? thanks

 

Well the 490 would eat the 300ex alive in the power department....but that's 10 years older and really depends on the shape it's in, if it's in decent shape you'd probably be more happy with the power of the yz490. Better make sure that it's had a recent rebuild as well.

 

A bike that old is going to be a beater.......... At 490, I doubt it has anything left to bore out when it needs a rebuild!

A 300EX that has been well cared for, will run forever!
