Default Wondering about my 06 Kodiak???

Hi,
Fot those of you who have read my posts I am brand new to the ATV game. I just bought a used 06 450 and am loving it but have a few questions. Is a brush gaurd worth buying and about how much do they run? How often does the oil need to be changed? Are there any kinds of gun holders that work better than the others? Where to get an extended warrenty and how much because I did not buy it new?
Thanks.

Check with a dealer for extended warranty, not sure if they are transferrable. You should find out or try to, if it has had valves adjusted yet... Not sure how often you are supposed to change the oil, I'm changing the oil on my bruin 1x a month. You can check just about any aftermarket site for the brush guard, or even those that sell geniune yamaha ones.
I dont know if you really need one, I plow down small trees and run through all sorts of brush, only thing the brush guard looks to protect is the headlights, which I have not damaged as of yet (speaking of the geniune yamaha brush guard). I have plenty of scratches, but that adds character :-) But this is just my opinion, I'm sure many others have their own.

Thanks for the info & opinions. I also have been thinking about the skid plates. I see you have them. Are they worth it too?

Skid plates are a great investment, I have hit many things really hard and belive me I'm happy I didn't have the plastic ones. I bought all mine from motogrid I'm sure I payed a little extra for the geniune yamaha ones, but I like the easy fit and bear logo, not to mention my engine skid plate has the cut outs for my yamaha/warn plow. If you do decide to get a bash plate you will need to buy the engine/frame skid plate also, stock comes one piece, aftermarket is two, NOTE: this is geniune yamaha skid plates I'm speaking of. Enjoy the quad man.
