Giovanni 50cc axle needed
#1
Hi,I'm a new memeber here.
I bought a used Giovanni 50cc for my 6 yr old.
Found that the rear axle splines were somewhat wore, the last owner musta rode it with a loose wheel, and damaged it.
You can hear the spacer pipe rattling around and the excessive play in the wheel, when you wiggle it.
I've been cranking it tight and fitting a kotter pin in it,for now,but I am gonna need a replacement axle.
Does anyone know where I might find the part I need?
I wrote a E-mail to Giovannibikes.com.
Was wondering if it's a common axles used in alot of the smaller 50ccs'.
Maybe a machine shop could do something, dunno.
Thx fer any help.

Hi, I would just wait and see what John says at Giovanni. I have got a few different replacement parts from him and cost was very cheap i thought. Did you check out his web site on ebay ? I remember seeing rear axles for sale i think, front spindles forsure. I just checked ebay to give you his selling name and they have rear axles forsale. allstarsalez is his selling name , axel $34.95 + 15.95 SHIPPING FOR A TOTAL OF $50.90 US .I would think that is cheap???? i dunno, never priced out a axel

PS. My axels are fine, trying to think, how it would be possible to wear them out. Inside to outside of wheel. Must have been put on wrong at sometime.
This how i installed my rear assembly
1) sleeve for the wheel
2) wheel with longer part of hub towards the sleeve
3) 4 small washers for spacers
4) 1 large gold colored washer
5) lock nut with cotter pin
6) rubber boot
If the washers for spacers aren't in there the nut goes on to far and cotter will not fit locked into the nut.
