Should I part it out or sell it out right

I've got a 2000 DS 650 with the equivalent to a Woods Stage 3. Motor was just rebuilt by KMS to include a new crank. Got +4 TBR swing arm, Renthal fat bars, piston, cams, larger valves, lectron and fcr's, head ported by Kenz, Graydon pipe, woods cdi, etc, etc.
Anyway it seems there's not really a market for a bike with this much work and was wondering if anyone has had better luck parting their bikes out and returning to stock.

Parting seems to bring the most money now days. I know a buddy who just profited some serious cash on a brand new part out.

I'ld say it depends. . .
See what these guys will give you for the motor and go from there.
I wouldn't mind picking up a roller to ship off to someone for a street-bike mod but, don't know if I could give you what you would want for the roller.

Yep it's me. It is a lectron 44 but is not the same one from back in the day.
The FCR's a old and need a rebuild so they would be thrown in with the motor. $1000-$1500, come on I just put in a brand new $500 crank. Head work was $1000, vavles, piston, cam, etc.

I said a good place to start...first we need to talk about clutch, gears, shift drum, shift forks (basically the bottom end). Your talking serious money if I have to split it again to change out any of these parts.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
