Hey guys I just bought a new 2006 Sportsman 500 HO EFI and I noticed that there is a wire with a 3 prong white connector hanging down on the left side (if sitting on it) from the speedo plastic. I was just wondering if any one knew what it was for? I assume something along the line of optional handlebar and thumb warmers.

i belive its a power cable for small accesories

 

What kind of small accesories? Since there is a 12 volt plug in on the right hand side?

id say for like hand warmers or something, its the same style power plug that are inside of computers, so id say something along the lines of hand warmers or whatever

Take a picture. I think I know what your taling about. The ECU wireing is ties to the ECU plug on the pod. This is like a 6 prong connector.

 

yea i have the same plug on my 800,and was told its for the diag. on the ecu.
