I ordered my 520 sprockets tonight and i will be buying a chain and i could not find information on how many links i will need with a 520 chain and +4" swingarm.I want to make sure that i buy one long enough,any ideas?

 

I have 118 on my 16 40 gearing, Get a 120 and cut it to fit.

 

stock length chain fits everything from 14/40 to 17/40 on my bike.

520 Chain Length for 15/42 gearing +plus 3" swing arm (is a Plus 4" 2004) going on 01

 

I needed 120 links to work with my +4" swingarm and 15-40 gearing.Just FYI i have had very good luck with a D.I.D. 520ERT2 chain.My D.I.D. has stretched very little for all the hard use i have put on it.

 

That was my next question, O ring or NoN O ring chains?

 

I went with a non o-ring.I use just enough WD-40 on it to keep the rust off and it works well.
