I have a Recon and plan to remove my big 'ol Goodyear mud tires and buy the Holeshot XCT's. My husband had regular Holeshot tires on his Warrior, and they were fantastic. We ride trails, track, dunes, and MUD! They were great in any surface. I'm going with the XCT's because of the taller size. I really think you'll like them. Later!

i'm sorry but holeshots are no good in the mud.

i had better luck with bald fast trekkers than i did my holeshots

they wear out very fast. In mud the stick and turn into huge mud *****, in loose pack and hard pack they tear up

i had my holeshots for 20 hours..they were toast...totally bald.

I'd say..get some bandits..!!

Aaron is right. The Holeshots wear very quickly. Rocks chew them up and even sand eats them up. I used them for 2 yrs but now use Bandits and couldn't be more pleased. The tread is aggressive and long lasting. The fronts go exactly where you want them and the rears pull through mud like crazy. My holeshots often turned to mud *****. I loved my Holeshots and they are fantastic tires if you don't ride a lot and will be mostly in regular dirt, not sand or mud. However most of us end up riding a lot of variety of terrain. Good riding on whatever tires you choose! Angelon400ex

bandits rule!
a little heavy but worth it for the wear and the traction.

I ran XCT's on a 300ex for a summer. They are good tires. I rode about 15-20 hours a week and they held up great. I use regular Holeshots now and they too have held up good. I've also had good luck with Razrs. My Razrs did seem to get ripped up a little sooner than the Holeshots though. I haven't seen a Holeshot or Razr or Bandit that was really very good in mud, the flat profile kills it in mud and snow.

Go with the bandits. The lug depth is very good. They don't seem to wear fast. We have them on the kids 90. Very Very good tire.

They are a cross between a mud tire & trail tire.
