Default Polaris Sport wheels

aright guzs iv got a weird situation.

I was rideing my 1999 Sport 400 and the wheel riped right of the lug nuts. I dont mean the lugs broke but the metal rim got riped and the lugs are still there with shards of metal on them. I walked over and looked at the other wheel and its 90% riped out two. This happend under normal 20 MPH rideing. This quad has never ben abused or anaything and only thing i can think or is a put heavy mud tires on about 3 mounths ago. Is it posible the heaver tires put to much strail on the rims? Has anaybuddy ever heard of this happning or have this problem them selves?

where the rims rusty at all? any hair line cracks? lugs over tightend? ive never heard of this before, but the fact that they are steel wheels makes me think that there could have been a hairline crack or an over tigthend lug setup

I like the new type 7 rims but don't know if they'll fit your ride. Check e-bay or call a site sponsor.

aright when I inspected the rims 3 mounths ago when I put the tires on they were perfect, no rust or cracks. Also I was not the one rideing it at the time and I now beleave i am not getting the full storie out of him. I think that he jumped it of one of the manny hills around our house and since he is not use the the automatic the wheels freewheeled and when he landed the wheels were probly spinning at a hunderd MPH and when the big nobbi tires hooked the riped the rims. THey are torn in a forward moting and bouth sides are torn. You can see thats it is a fresh rip because the metal is not fateaged or dusty. Is this possible or has anaybuddy had this happend to them?

that sounds probable, since there is a heavy rotating mass coming to a near dead stop
