About any way to make an 89 350 trx 4x4 easier to turn and more trail friendly.
also searching for plastics- local dealer wants over 330.00 per end
FYI - A place back east "Discount Honda" under
230.00 per end 800-669-2275 I had heard that this was a place to check. What a diff.

I have a 87 350 Foreman, they are by design stiff to steer, I have ridden several others of the same vintage, all handle the same. I don't know of any way to change it. I use it with a blade and to pull my box scraper, I bought a 300 2x4 to trail ride. The 350 is one strong unit for hauling a load, probably the strongest when it was made, however with the bigger machines it is a little short now. It still should serve you well. I have had to replace the fan motor, and cd unit for the ignition, not bad for a unit that is over 10 years old, (must be a Honda thing). Enjoy, ride on!!!!

One thing to consider is different tires. My brother put Vampires on his 300. The front tires are kinda narrow and that along with the aggressive tread helps him turn easier.

I assume that your referring to an additive?
Where?
Thanks for an idea.

Narrower front tires might help. So might running the fronts with more air in them. Just don't put so much in that the ride gets too bouncy.

The additive 14mins was referring to goes in the front axle diff. I used a product from Ford Motor Co for positrack diffs, I'm sure it does the same thing, it helped slightly, more noticable in really tight slow turns. As to the tires the 350 comes with the same size all around, 24x9x11. I raised the air pressure in the front to 4.5 psi, that helped a little, however lost some traction in the soft stuff. I guess that is what give and take is all about.

I ordered Blackwaters ......25-10 -11s..... to late to change. I have to replace the bushing down where the tie rods are, so was looking at it and think that I may try extending the bracket where the steering stem tie rod is. Wouldn't take much to give a fair amount more leverage. Will let youknow. Thanks to all for the feedback.
Also......how much diff. in tire height, running more air in the front. Will that affect(sp?) the 4 wheeel drive gearing?
