Default help 98 3oo xpress getting beat up by 250ex

like the title says my freind owns a 250ex all stock and I own a 98 300 xpress that is all stock. The problem is I can not keep up with him and he is a full sized adult on a 250ex. I really like my xpress its great in mud and in hill climbing which is about the only place I have an advantage is hill climbing because of the light front end on the 250. What can I do to make this thing faster and better in mud. Buy faster I mean top speed as well as 0-60 or 45 haha. I have allready done all the maintenance such as new k&n filter, spark plug, gear lube change, and new tires which I beleive are goodyear mud busters. I maybe wrong about the goodyear but they do say mud buster. I am new to the forum but have been wheeling for years. So hi all

Default help 98 3oo xpress getting beat up by 250ex

anyone have any ideas. Or can anyone tell me if a 98 300 xpress should be faster or slower than a 2000 honda 250ex. Not slower on top speed because I would expect that but just all around slower. Please help.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

You need a clutch kit or if you dont want to spewnd the $100+ on a complete kit try a Polaris white primary spring(stock 400 scrambler spring) this will gain you a little but not as much as a complete kit.For a kit call Rick Ritter Aaen or HPD or EPI
