honda rincon 650 valve adjustment

It helps alot to have the service manual. If your going to take care of your own maintance, you should probably get one.
Theres a few things which need to be removed to acess, the two covers on top of the head. Seat , gas tank ,side covers and so on. Youll see as you do it. Once you get access to the covers, clean them of all dirt and grit, so when you remove them, stuff doesnt fall into the motor.
On the left side of the motor, theres an access hole , for lining up the timing marks, then adjust the valve tips to .006" intake and .013" exhaust. Theres an adjusting stud and lock nut on each rocker .
I sent a PM.

make absolutely sure you get those jamnuts on the valves tight--- if one of these rattles loose and falls down into the engine, you are looking at a total rebuild. Adjusting the valves is fairly easy, especially after you've done it once.
i highly recommend the service manual also.
