Blaster Compression questions......
#1
What should the compression be on a blaster?
If the quad is really easy to kick is that a sign that it needs a rebuild?
The bike will start and run for about 1/2 a sec, but smoke comes out of the carb where it attaches to the airbox, is that a sign that the timming chain needs to be a adjusted?
Is it possible its just the timming chain and not that it needs to be rebuilt?
The quad is a 01 and was raced for a year or so.

The compression on a stock blaster is between 140-160 psi. If your trying to feel the compression by kicking it blasters kick really easy. I have a milled head and it kicks easy. While my 250r is hard to kick, you can't kick it with tennis shoes. If it starts on the first kick you probably have good compression. But I would do a compression check with a compression test. How old is the blaster.
