Just trying to see what aftermarket tire everyone is using on their Rancher and also the size and the good and bad about the tires as well as if and how much power loss is associated with the tires

i have the 27 tri,biclaws on mine. there is some power loss but it has no problem turning them even in the deep mud in first gear

I'm running 26"x12 mud runners on the rear of my 4x2 es. There is some power loss, but the gain in traction is huge. It also still has enough power to wheelie up. You will need to gear down before you hit the deep stuff.

00' rancher es 4x2, 26" MR, 1500lb winch w/50ft cable,herculined rack.

 

Let me know the full size like 26x10x12 or whatever and if you are using stock rims or not. Also how does your 1500 winch work with 50 ft cable , i just got the 1500 with 25 ft, and was going to change it sometime in the future.

MudRunners will fit on your factory rims,25x8x12
25x10x11.

I would like to put on 589's but that would require purchasing rims, at least on the rear.

The 11" rim on the rear of the Rancher really limits the number of tires you can put on unless you replace the rim.

 

Thnx for info, that (589) was one of the tires i was looking at but didnt know that they wouldnt fit on stock rims

 

1500lb winch works well. I changed the cable to 1/4 instead of the 3/16 b/c of the higher work load. I also changed to the 50ft cable so that I could use a ****** block and double the strength of the winch.

 

Does anyone know if the after market Alum. wheels are lighter than the stock alum. wheels on the Rancher 4x4 es? I think I will check out Highlifter.com for the Biclaw and Ticlaw tires. Looking at the size 25x9.50x12 and 25x12.50x11. Will these work without much power loss? My stock tires and wheels are not going to hold up in the rocks. My stock wheels are already bent on the edge.

 

I've got 25x9.5x12 and 25x12.5x12 Super Swamper TSL/ATV tires on my Rancher.

You can't put 12in wide tires on the stock Rancher rims w/out rubbing the tailpipe.

 

What kind of rims did you get and did you have to put a lift kit or wheel spacers on your Rancher? Do they make a 25x10x12 for the back? If the front has 12 inch rim and back has 11 inch rims, and you install 12 inch rims all around , want this change the gearing from the factory and make something break. I really want better tires but do not want to cause something to break. Please keep the information going so I can decide what to get. Thank`s
