LT 80 fuel out of exhaust
#1
Im a carpenter not a mechanic so i could use some help? the electric start would just click at the relay so i thought the starter or relay were bad. i just learned about the reset switch under the fender, so i reset it and it and hit the start button. It turned over then fuel leaked out where the exhaust bolts to the motor. I checked the fuel shutoff it was on. It is leaking quite a bit of fuel when i crank it over. It cranks until it kicks the reset switch under the right fender. The exhaust gasket on the pipe is shot and a bolt is missing from the flange. Thats why i can see the gas drizzling out by the motor. Thankful for the replies!!

It could be the fuel petcock.. and or it could be the carb float is stuck. Pull the plug and crank it around to clear the cylinder and change the plug as it may be fuel fouled. If the cylinder is full of fuel, when you crank it around it might be trying to compress the mixture, can't and so over working the starter which could be causing popping the reset? As the petcock is vacuum, no fuel should be going to the carb when it's set to ON (check). As for the carb you can tap the bowl a few times to see if you can dislodge it.

Hey This is my first post so i dont know all the slang and lingo but I do know alittle about the lt80. When you say shee petcock is that a brand or the actual petcock for a ban"shee"? the vaccum hose from the stock petcock goes to which hole on the carb? there are two to choose from and I am not sure which one it is.
Thanks
Thanks
